"min-gei" は、 1920年代後半に日本で開発された”民芸運動”をヒントに生み出された、今世紀の新しいスタイルの芸術運動です。民芸運動とは、日用品や日常雑器等、無名の職人達によって作られた民衆的工芸品の中に美を見出し、世に紹介するという活動でした。民芸運動が始まるまでは、民衆的工芸品をアートと呼ぶ事はなかったのです。

”min-gei" は、この民芸運動をヒントに、”アートを私達の生活の一部にする”という新しいコンセプトを加え、今の時代に浸透させていく事を目的としています。アートを、なにか特別で手の届かないものと考えるのではなく、まるで日用品の様に身近にあり、私達の生活に深く関わっているものだと思える様にしたい。そんな活動です。


あなたもこの運動に参加し、”min(みんなの)－gei(芸術）" を世界に広めませんか。
全ての人々が、日常生活の中でアートを身近に感じられる様に。

 

 

 

ヲウチギャラリーでは、”小さな変化＝大きな変化”をテーマにしています。

私たちの目標は、アートを通して世界を変える事。とてつもなく大きな目標に聞こえますが、一人の人が、隣にいる人に一つのアイディアを伝え、その人がまた別の人にそのアイディアを伝達し、そうやってどんどんアイディアを広げて行ったら、どうなるでしょう。
 
そう、そんな簡単な事なんです。
 
あなたの作った小さな変化が、大きな変化へとつながってゆく。
あなたの変化によって、まずあなたの隣りにいる大事な人から変えることが出来たら、"私たちは世界を変えることが出来る"という揺るぎない自信を、あなたが世界にもたらすことになるのです。 

 

 

    "min-gei" is a regeneration of the Japanese folk art movement called "Mingei" which developed in the late 1920s. The theory of Mingei was to discover and appreciate beauty in everyday objects created by nameless craftsmen. Ordinary utilitarian objects were never considered as art until this movement. 

    "min-gei" restores the movement in present time with a new theory: making art a part of our every day life. Instead of considering art as something special and intangible, art should be familiar and intimate with us and our lives, just like our every day objects.

 
    Join the movement and share "min (everyone's) - gei (art)"  with the world.
Let everyone have art in their life.
 
  
The theme of Ouchi Gallery is "Small change = big difference."

Our goal is to change the world through art. It might sound difficult... but imagine what would happen if you spread an idea to a person next to you, and that person spread it to another person, and so on and so forth.

It's that simple.

Pass the idea on. Together we CAN change the world.

１００人展コンペ『100人のアーティスト募集』＠ Ouchi gallery in NYC



"ZANKANDMARS" PRESENTS 100 Artists Group exhibiton @ Ouchi gallery in NYC.

募集開始：２００９年３月〜　
展示期間：２０１０年1月5日〜1月31日（1ヶ月）

コンセプト：

この企画は、日本人のアーティスト達にもっと、世界中が注目するNYのアートシーンを作り上げる一員となって、活躍して欲しいというコンセプトから生まれました。アーティストの方にとって、将来へのステップとなる、NYでのグループ展参加です。

100個の展示作品の中から、ZANKANDMARS in NY 賞を１つ選び、優勝したアーティストは、来年ヲウチギャラリーにて個展（１週間）をする権利、そして、ザンクアンドマーズのエージェントに加盟する権利を 得ることが可能です。
